Late 2022 – 2023 Accera made a complete renovation of an excisting summerhouse in the vestern part of Sjælland. The renovation project was comprehensive and inkluding all craftsman trades in order to meet the demands for intricate details and strict requirements to replicate the excisting look and feel of the original house.

Demolition, with a keen eye for which building parts to re-use in the upcoming construction. All reuseable items where prepaired and stored for later integration into the house. Many new wooden elements where delievered, hand treated on site, to simulate the original patina on the existing materials.

Throughout the building, a completely new electrical installation where installed, completely hidden, to match the surrounding and to recreate the original look and feel. The new installation was of course updated, with cabled network installation, wireless access points, built in speakcables etc. Many furnitures where delivered and installed on site. The furniture are all handcrafted and designed specificaly for this house.

New sliding door systems, installed in the hearth of the house, 6 meter long elements pr. side. Several exterior doors and windows are repositionened and changed to new energyoptized versions.

Outside many details where renovated and two brand new bamboo wooden terraces where constructed on site, respektfully on the vestern and eastern side of the house. The terraces where all installed on solid concrete point foundations.

Special challenges:

Before the project was started, the design was deliberately not finished, in order to give the client enough freedom to make changes along side the progressing work. This is a very hard task as a general contractor and requires constrant dialogue and decisions with both client, advisor and contracting teams. Accera though, where up to the task.

Special achievement:

In a house where the word details are heavily underlined, the hardest part is often finalizing the details and making every element come together nicely. This was the same challenges we meet on this project. However we pulled through and finalized the work and handed the fisnished work over to a very happy client – with some delays the the timeframe to be honest.
