As part of Accera’s core business, we are authorized electrical installers and electricians with extensive experience. In the fall of 2023, the property company Emilienborg and Accera contracted to form a joint construction organization tasked with the complete renovation of a total of 16 apartments. Accera’s role was as a subcontractor for electrical services, with significant responsibility for detailed planning, coordination with adjacent interfaces, and trades. The entire project took place in Amager, a densely built area, which made the work more complex logistically.

The work spanned 25 working weeks, in line with the scope of the client. Throughout the project, electrical installations had to be designed on-site, as all apartments varied greatly in size, shape, and existing condition. All 16 apartments were completed and delivered on time, without noticeable remarks.

Generally, the construction progressed in a staggered manner, ensuring continuous activity in all apartments. Accera’s role as an electrical contractor was to balance timeschedules with the client and other contractors, while still being proactive in adjustments and design changes throughout the process.

Accera carried out the complete dismantling and demolition of all existing electrical installations, both in the apartments and in common areas. Dismantling electrical installations requires a certain structure and must be done safely, securely, and legally. If not done correctly, it poses a risk to customers, other contractors, and the client. The dismantling of all electrical installations was carried out in close cooperation with demolition contractors to reduce the risk of electric shock.

All new installations were designed in collaboration with the client, followed by a quality control check before construction could begin. This allowed other contractors time to make structural changes to the building before technical installations could commence.

The reconstruction proceeded as planned, with the main cables from the supply point prepared in the installation areas and then laid out for later assembly. All cabling in the apartments was then pulled and prepared for final assembly. All work was tested, inspected, and documented according to all applicable regulations and client requirements. The delivery proceeded as planned and was completed with very few errors.

Special Challenges:

Before the work began, no detailed plans were prepared for the electrical contract, making the task demanding for electricians, foremen, and project managers. Given that the building’s apartments were all very different, it was important for Accera to fully understand the client’s wishes and goals

Special Achievement: 

Throughout the process, Accera was on or ahead of schedule, which can be very demanding on projects with many unknowns like this one. Despite this, Accera managed not only to deliver on time but also with a very low number of defects and high quality.
